LOVE ALL OF THIS. What books did you get?! Also DM me a pic of what you got from Catbird 😍 pleease. The Bear is worth watching with breaks in between. There is a part of me that wishes we didn’t binge it in 2 days but I just couldn’t wait!
Magic indeed ! 🏹✨Joe would loooove having Delilah in the house. We’ve been talking about getting a fuzzy baby 😍
I need your review of The Guest when you’re finished! Been on the fence with that one since it came out. (I only listen to a select few when it comes to their book taste-you’re one of them!)
Literally, like mere minutes ago, finished episode 6 “Napkins.” For a season that’s been kind of sucky so far, I loved it so much. Jon Bernthal is such a gift of an actor.
I love your cherubs and your cozy home and your beautiful relationship and your salt sea air. All of it ☀️💛
I love your lists. And that song is so moody and fantastic, reminds me of the first time I heard teardrop by massive attack and then didn’t leave my dorm room for 1000 hours just kept it playing on repeat.
Ha! We are truly birds of a feather bc I will play a song on repeat for hours and hours when I can’t get enough ❤️🔥 I’ve always divided people in the two camps of: only plays a song they like once and will burn a hole into their ear canal from repeat play.
I've been trying to take advantage of being only a 30 minute metro ride from the sea here in Barcelona. even if I can only make it to do a 20 minute meditation while looking at the waves, I always feel restored. i'm close enough that seagulls visit my airsace over my apartment.
I love that for you!!! 30 minutes is so close. I’m so proud of you for making the time to go and meditate. ❤️🔥 Restorative is the perfect word. The sea soothes my nervous system immediately.
The last place I lived in was very close to the ocean and I loved it! Unfortunately my new place is nowhere near as close and it pains me everyday. But I will get back there. To my rightful spot by the sea.
Also, congrats on the cherubs they are adorable and there is something so awesome about being able to finally hang an ornament like that in your place. It’s little things like that that help make a house a home :)
Yes you will get back to the ocean! There is something so magical about living next to the sea. 🌊 Living on a tiny peninsula, there is something mystical in the air. Maybe from the constant movement of energy.
Thank you!!! “It’s little things like that that help make a house a home :)” YES!!! Truly.
Have you seen the movie The Witch with Anya Taylor-Joy? For whatever reason this piece made me think of black Phillip saying “would thou like to live deliciously” but without the devilish intentions. The vibe of the sea and the King short stories and everything. So beautiful and haunting
I saw it but don’t remember it fully. I remember thinking it was so eerie. Rockaway is exactly beautiful and haunting, especially in the fall and winter. I’m so glad that came through. There are a lot of spirits that move through here. Strange energy. Strange sounds in the house but all benevolent.
I’m in total alignment with you on the homebodyness states. I savor simplicity, routine, the joy of cozying down under the same blanket with the same cat and the same man by my side to watch a great series or read or just listen to the family of owls hooting away. The extrovert has her moments (like you say, in the right company) and then satisfied, she retreats and lets quiet lead the way. Love these little glimpses of you and your radiant soul Jenovia.
Season 3 Episode 6…that Tina and Mikey conversation…! 🥹 Almost as beautiful as your cherubs finding their place.
Inquiring minds must know: what’s your go-to brownie recipe? (I have a beloved family recipe that my grandmother referred to as “gushers” because the resulting brownies are so gooey, but they require a horrifying amount of butter and a double boiler, so I usually make Alice Medrich’s cocoa brownies instead.)
I have been burning my fall scented candles and dreaming of fall. Anyone who claims to love summer is officially insane. What is so nice about breathing in thick, humid air? Or sweating when you go check the mail? Or sunburns?
Also, I've felt very inspired by you and another gal to start my own substack and have been craving a creative outlet and forum like this for quite some time. The current social platforms and push for "creators" is just not it for me.
#2. We are watching The Bear too, and only on episode 2. I would binge the hell out of this but he prefers to watch it one at a time, process it, then move on to the next. He's usually right when it comes to this with drama television. :) Speaking of, how is this show nominated in the Comedy category?!
#10. I love when you share pics of the ocean. Growing up partially on the east coast in Nantasket Beach, your posts and pics take me back. I can smell it. Fell the breeze. Hear the seagulls. Thank you for that.
PLEASE start a newsletter, Heather!!! 🤩 It’s so much better than other social media and everyone is so kind and interesting. I really think you’ll love it here ❤️🔥
I’ve never met someone overflowing with extraordinaryness quite the way that you do!! And I can’t look away!!!
I’m on a jittery, jittery edge with The Bear…been holding out on watching the last two. But I’m on season two of The House of the Dragon!
I’ve gone to the bookstore twice this week so far…
Got another Catbird bird surprise today ❤️🔥😊
Ps —Delilah and I are coming to live with you and Joe! It’ll be practically magic.

I got The Guest by Emma Cline and the anxiety journal 🤣
I hope you get a fur baby as spirited as she, but one that’s a better listener!!! 🤍🤍🤍
I need your review of The Guest when you’re finished! Been on the fence with that one since it came out. (I only listen to a select few when it comes to their book taste-you’re one of them!)
I’m will take this honor seriously!! Hopefully I start it tomorrow.
I am obsessed with cherubs (I even have a big one tattooed on my forearm) and THESE ARE PERFECT. Cannot wait to see the office come together 😍
A cherub tattoo 😍🥹 Perfection. Same with the love of cherubs. They bring me so much joy.
OH man ... this is crazy...
I used to live in Africa and last year lived there for six months...
Im reading SOME LIKE IT DARKER... I read everything from SK
I also get sick from all booze except a tiny 20 ml bottle of this digestive tonic called
UNDERBERG... Which is great after a big meal...
Try it... its healthy... but I only have one a week !
I’ve had Underberg! It’s so yummy. Unfortunately, I’m so sensitive that I can’t even have Kombucha anymore.
Where in Africa did you live?
How are you liking YLID? I LOVED Two Talented Bastids.
Your method of keeping track of your TBR is seriously genius!
Please adopt it! It makes life so much easier. 💗
I love that it is so simple and, therefore, sustainable. I have tried Goodreads, Notion, spreadsheets... it's all over the place.
You will LOVE this way! It’s so easy to access and when I’ve finished reading one on the list, I delete it from the album.

We needed more Claire. LOVE Jon Bernthal. Thank you, Amy. It’s been a journey 😮💨✨❤️

So glad you’ve found a place to hang those cherubs with their beautiful patitas!
Thank you, Holly! I always appreciate your kindness and support 🥹🫶🏼

you get it! <3
Hell yes to living that close to the ocean!

Thank you, Kimberly!! You’re speaking my language!! Especially the kitty part! We’ve been talking about getting a kitty. ❤️🔥

I will have to ask Joe, he’s the cook and baker in the relationship! Though I must say, I am an excellent sous chef 👩🏻🍳 🥰😂
An extremely important role!!
My fiance is a huge chocoholic and he swears by the Ghirardelli brownie recipe! They never last more than 24 hours and I'm not even a chocolate lover.

You’re an angel for sharing this! I’ve loved Ghirardelli chocolate ever since my first visit to San Francisco as a kid. I’ll be making this for sure!
