Three things make me excited: Yul Brynner, Yvonne De Carlo, Anne Baxter. For a bonus: Edward G Robinson. I think you’ve influenced my viewing habits for tomorrow!!
Also, I have The Sarah Book in my cart based solely off that review. Chefs kiss!! And so freaking honored to be mentioned here! Thank you for the love and support 🥰🥰🥰
Omg yes Yul 🔥. Also re: Keith McNally’s book, I read one recently called Your Table Is Ready, by one of Keith’s maitre d’s (who worked at many famous spots). It was eye-opening and pretty entertaining.
Did not know there was a Val Kilmer memoir, but adding to my list, stat.
I’m afraid I’m going to love it and subsequently give up on writing the memoir about my first restaurant job that has been brewing in the back of my mind for almost a decade now. Or maybe it’ll inspire me! We’ll see
bless you. so glad you have found the dream house.
dream house as ultimate train wreck = miss united states
I very rarely wish to be other people. Lisa Bonet is one of them because she bagged not only blanket scarf icon Lenny but also Jason Momoa god lover her
Ah! So many. Anything by Ivan Turgenev, Dostoevsky, and Tolstoy. Fernando Pessoa is beloved. Hermann Hesse. Colette. Gustav Flaubert. Proust. Molière. Baudelaire. Lord Byron. Pablo Neruda. Guy de Maupassant. James Baldwin. Anaïs Nin. Françoise Sagan. There are more but these are some favs.
Omg Jenovia! I literally JUST finished The Dream House two nights ago! Her distinction between using second person and first person is fantastic, I never thought so much could be implied by “you” vs. “I.”
Jenovia's beatitudes! I loved this one--must confess I had to look up several of your early words. Also must confess I am perplexed and feeling useless, confused, enraged, powerless--can it be that America gets burned to ash on a reality show we're all watching, with our mouths on the ground? What is happening? What do we do? Anyway, I also ate cream eggs.
It felt good to rage it out in some quick poetry/prose/stream of consciousness. I cant stay there for long because I have a tendency to languish in it. Thank God for cream eggs. They brought me back to life. Hope you had a cozy Easter, Isabel! 💗
so much good stuff! "I Regret Almost Everything" is an all-time great memoir title and mini eggs are the best, and were sold out everywhere I looked last week to my great sadness! hope you had a lovely Easter! xo
Oh no! I'm so sorry you didn't get your mini eggs fix. I wish Joe purchased a smaller bag because I ate too many and gave myself a stomach ache 😂 So maybe it was for the best.

Your piece made me so happy! Same on The Sarah Book. The Ten Commandments is a forever banger. 💥
Love Bella!
She is divine!!
Agree!
Your writing reminds me of how much i love WORDS and books.
Best compliment ever, best friend 🥹💘🫂

I always love your web! 🫶🏻
Ouuu Your Table Is Ready sounds juicy! I’ll have to add that to my list. You will love Val’s memoir. 💗💗💗
Sweet bitter has been on my list forever. Thanks for the reminder! Also Lenny Kravitz Paris home 😍😩
Please share your thoughts when you read it! My same sentiments thinking about his home 😂😭😩😍

Don’t you dare give that up!

I’d been curious about it then your recommendation some months ago placed it firmly on my TBR. So bless YOU. 💘
Lisa Bonet is such a BABE too 😮💨 Genetically gifted all of them! (😂 at blanket scarf icon)
Those opening paragraphs just transported me back to high school English. Dictionary.com just got heavy usage.
Calumniations is a very underrated word.
😂 Less likelihood of trolling when they don’t know what the words mean and we all know they won’t bother looking them up 🤗
This is true.
Now that I know you have also read mostly classics, I need to know which ones you love!

My reading list.
I love that we inspire each other's readings from our respective ends of the spectrum!
Me too! My book angel! 👼🏻💗

P.S. Your word-smithery makes me so happy!
I’m so glad! My brain has been fried from current events so I had to do a quick stream of consciousness to give myself some relief.
I LOVE that we’ve arrived In The Dream House at almost the exact time 😍 it’s mesmerizing!
I'm sorry, but i'm stealing kakistocracy and fanfaronade to use on my day to day convos.
I don’t own them! PLEASE use them, the world needs more party words right now. 🥰💘😮💨
Pantheist thought for the win! Hehehe.
Happy Easter Jenovia. I hope your mini Cadbury eggs were as yummy as mine :)
Happy Easter! They were! (I ate too many 😮💨)
Hehehe me too!

That memoir is going to be JUICY! Can't wait.
Hope you had a wonderful Easter as well! 🐣
Frick forever! Hope you have fun. Say hi to King Phillip IV!
Thank you, I’ll tell him you say hello🤗❤️🔥
